December is such a fun month and there are so many fun things to do leading up to Christmas! We started off the season decorating our house. Back when we were in the condo I thought I had tons of decorations, but now that we are in a house I am realizing I don't have as many as I thought. But thanks to Rods Works having an amazing sale I was able to build up my collection quite a bit.
After decorating we tried building a ginger bread house with Aspen, but it didn't work out so well. Aspen wasn't really in a building mood and was more in an eating mood. She just wanted to eat the food. She kept eating the frosting off the house which made it collapse before it was built. We will have to try that again next year!
We also went to see Santa at the Riverwoods. They have re-modeled the mall and everything looks great. My parents decided to come and enjoy the festive time with us. Aspen didn't really cry when she saw santa, but she was not all to excited to be sitting on his lap. But she did tell him that she wanted dolly's and trucks for Christmas. After sitting on santa's lap we walked around and enjoyed the warm weather (It was in the 40's which is very warm for a December night)!
(I am hoping Grandma got a better picture with Santa because this one isn't
the best, but it does show how shy Aspens was :)
Tyler and I got all dressed up and went to a fun Christmas dinner!
Here are the kids in their Christmas outfits! It is so much fun to get Aspen a new Christmas dress each year. Its one of the only times I get a very filly dress and she looked so cute!
Than we finished off the pre Christmas season going with the Mason's to the zoo lights. We went last year and had such a great time we decided to make it a yearly tradition. I am so thankful it was not as cold this year. Great Grandma Inkley also joined us this year!
