Check out this great light show

I went to watch this light show. It is in Pleasant Grove and actually won the best Christmas lights in the United States. You can watch the whole show online if you can't make it. The lights go to music. I felt like I was watching the Bilogio Water show in Vegas. It is that good.

Keystone Colorado

Right before Christmas Tyler and I got to go to Keystone Colorado with Rick and Angie and their kids. They have a condo down there and were kind enough to invite us down there. It was a quick trip, but a very needy trip. We got there late Thur night and the boys were still up because they were so excited to see us. We let them open there presents from us and then we went to bed. The next morning we got to play with the kids while Rick and Angie went skiing. When they got back we went to the ski resort. They have a bunch of fun shops and good places to eat. And the best part was we got to see Santa and a real reindeer. It was cupid. The boys were so excited to touch a real reindeer. I loved watching their faces light up. Then Angie and Rick treated us to dinner at a cute pizza parlor. It was so yummy! That night Tyler and I just relaxed. It was nice to just sit on the coach.
Then on Saturday Tyler went on a big hike with Rick. They wanted to go to the summit, but they were worried about an avalanche since the altitude was about 14000 feet. They still went to about tree line which is 12000 feet. You have to remember the weather is about 0 degrees there. I think Tyler is crazy for wanting to do this, but he loved it! While the boys were hiking I spent the day with Angie and the kids. We were going to go sledding, but ending up driving around. It was fun to see everything.
Later that night Tyler and I were able to have some alone time. We went to this cute Italian restaurant on main street. It was nice to have time with just Tyler and be able to talk about his hike. After dinner we stayed up talking with Rick and Angie. It is amazing how much Tyler and Rick are alike. They always talk about the same things.

On Sunday we went to church and then drove home! Dallin who is 7 found out we were leaving that day and he got very sad. He said, "you wont be here for Christmas!" It was so sweet. I love Dallin, Brennan, and Tanith! Thanks Rick and Angie for inviting us to Keystone. We are sorry it ended up being a nightmare with Tanith and the sleeping arrangement!

Lucky Lucky!!

I think everyone knows that Golds Gym throws some pretty sweet Christmas parties. Last year Tyler won the very last prize, a 50 inch plasma TV. Well this year I was wanting to win so bad. I never win anything and thought it was my turn. Hurray it happened. I won a $350 power tool set. And the lucky Tyler won an X-box 360! Wow we are both lucky. Tyler was so sweet and asked me if I want to take the tool set back so I can get something I will enjoy. Since he won his X-Box I think I might just do that. Happy early Christmas to us!!!!

Medicial Stuff is so fun!

Well I am finally seeing a specialist for my neck and back. We are good family friends with doctor Lynn Gaufin who is a known top neuron surgeon. He was so nice to get me in within a week, especially since they are booked out for 3 months. I have seen him twice now and can I tell what a difference it makes to see the specialist. He explained everything to me better than anyone else ever has. I actually have 4 different problems. I have 2 bulging disks in my neck, a pinced nerve in the front of my neck, 3 degerative disks and a muscle tear in my lower back, and my new problem is a bone spur in my upper back. Now all of these problems are minor, but add them all together and that is why I am in so much pain. The good news from the doctor is that I do not need surgery and he doesn't think I ever will. I was glad to hear that becuase a few doctors have told me that I need, but that they wont do it on my yet becuase I am so young. After this past summer and all my surgeries I am going to try and avoid those for awhile.

Since I have already tried physical therapy we decided to take the next step. I am going to see a pain management specialist. Now doesn't that sound scary. I don't even know what that really is, so if anyone else knows please describe. I also need to maintain a healthy active life (like swimming or biking) and do 30 mins of excersies each morning and night. I guess that is a good thing becuase it will help me stay healthy. It is nice to know what is wrong with my body and be working on a solution for it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I thought it would be fitting to say 8 things I am thankful for on this beautiful day!

1. I am so thankful the this Church and for the Lord's atoning sacrifice. I don't know where I would be without this church. I am so thankful I am loved and can always be forgiven. I am so thankful for a temple marriage so I can be with my family for eternity! I love the Lord with all my heart and have learned he understands me better than anyone.

2. I am so thankful for family. Especially Tyler. He is the best husband you could ask for and I pray that every girl gets as lucky as I am. I am also thankful for my parents. They are always there for me and would give anything for me. They always support me in everything I do. I am also thankful for Rob and Mike and their families. We have always been best friends and I couldn't ask for more. I am so blessed to also have great in-laws. Its so great to have so much family so close. The Masons bring me so much joy and I love being a part of their family.

3. I am thankful for tennis! I know that might sound silly, but tennis has taught me so much. It has taught me discipline and hard work. It brought me closer to my family. Tennis got me into BYU so I could get an education. Tennis also has provided a living for my family. Plus it brings me joy. I love tennis and all sports.

4. I am so thankful for our beautiful condo. It was so much fun to watch it being built and pick everything out. We are so blessed to be able to build a brand new condo for our first home. We have already been here a year and I love it.

5. I am so thankful to the doctors and caregivers that helped with my surgeries and miscarriages. It has been a long road, but I have learned a lot. AND I AM FEELING SO GREAT!!!

6. I am so thankful for modern convinces that make life enjoyable. I love to email and check out other peoples blogs. The computer has helped me stay in touch with friends and family much easier than I could in the past.

7. I am so thankful for my mom teaching me how to bake and cook. I love to make dinner and treats for other people. I am also thankful that Tyler loves to eat and will eat anything. He is such much fun to cook for. I can't wait for the day that I can be a stay at home, so I can cook and bake more.

8. I am so thankful for friends. I have always been blessed with lots of support and love from people around me. I always have someone I can talk to. I don't know where I would be without my friends.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and that we can be thankful all year for everything around us!!!

Crazy day at costco!

So I went to Costco last night to do some grocery shopping. I get everything I need and some more and head to the check out. As they are ringing everything up I realize that my wallet is missing. I know I brought it in because I have my Costco card. But I seriously can't find it. I trace my steps wondering if I left it somewhere by accident, but can't find it. I am about to cry in horror that someone stole it when a security guard asks me if I am missing a wallet. They have me follow him. Come to find out someone had stolen it. I guess while my cart was empty and I was looking at something a man had switched my cart with another empty one. A worker had just happened to be watching him. She quickly when up to him and asked if that was his. Without speaking the man left the store. I guess they were waiting for someone to claim the wallet to make sure it got back to the right person. So they had to ID me and everything. Needless to say I will not leave my wallet in my cart anymore. That was such a scary experience. I am so thankful to that worker for asking that man. She could have just turned walked away and thought nothing of it!! So just a warning to everyone, PLEASE BE CAREFUL AT STORES. And don't be stupid like me and don't look away from you cart for a second. People are very sneaky.

Fun weekend!

Tyler and I finally got to go on a date friday night. Its been a long time since we have been so busy. It was fun to spend one on one time with him. We went and saw Dan in Real Life. I have not laughed that hard in a movie in a long time. It was sooooo good. If you haven't seen I highly reccomend it. I don't even think there is 1 swear word in the whole thing.

On Saurday we went on a hike with Angie and Rick. I babysit for their cute kids. Angie and I have become close and talk a lot. We found out that our husbands are very alike and decided it would be fun to get together. We hiked up in Sundance. Here is a picture of Angie, looking up at Tyler who is a monkey. He was climbing up to the next falls. Sundance is so pretty!
Then Saturday night Sarah and Jorgen came over and we made pizza, played games and watched a movie. Jorgen and Sarah are getting pretty close. It is fun to double date with them! We had a great time!!
Aren't they cute together!!!

Here goes, a little about me.

1. I think tagging is stupid!!! :) With that said Tiffany made me do this!

3. I love movies, books (reading and writing), cars, tools!

Okay lets be honest it was really hard to get Tyler to do this, so I copied a few things from his facebook and then I had him yell a few more over. His first one was "I think tagging is stupid." Haha. So if anyone else wants to write about their husbands I tag you!!! :)

What could this be?

Can you see these little foot prints? Besides the fact that I really really need to dust what could these be? Well Tyler and i come home yesterday and he mentions that we need to deep clean the house. I don't think anything of it because I already know that, but I also know that I don't have time. But he keeps insisting and after I see him pull up the bed to see if something is under there I finally ask him what is going on. He goes to show me these prints on his night stand in the bedroom! I of course freak out. Those are huge. We go through everything they could be and Tyler tries to convince me its just a mouse. But I knew it couldn't be that. They are huge. We don't have any pets.

After freaking out for about an hour I ask Tyler if by chance Sarah's dog rex had been here. He sheepishly says yes, but that he wasn't in our room so it couldn't be him. I decide to get to the bottom of this so i ask his brother and of course he did get in our room for a few seconds. I just laugh. At least its not some scary random animal in our house. But at the same time Tyler knows I do not like animals so of course it slipped his mind to tell me that there was a dog in our house!!! Uggggg!!! :)

Happy 24th B-day Tyler!!!

Tyler loves having a Halloween birthday! Especially since that means he gets to celebrate for over a week with different family members. 2 Sundays ago he had his birthday dinner with my family. He loved opening presents early! All he wanted this birthday was backpacking stuff, so we got him boots from me and my brothers families. A jacket, backpack and a compression shirt from my parents. And of course we got to eat yummy oreo madness that my mom makes. So delicious. Its a copy cat recipe from TGIF.

Over the weekend we had Tylers traditional birthday dinner at Tucanos! We stuffed ourselves silly. That place is sooooo good. It is a very good thing we only go there once a year. And if you sign up they send you a free birthday dinner good anytime during the month of your birthday! So tylers meal was FREE!!! Then on Saturday Tyler wanted to try his new backpacking stuff out so we went on a short hike in Sundance before the Sperry Halloween Party. Tyler and I were Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Mike, Kelly and Kylee were all dressed up as bumble bees. Rob said he was Brad Pitt, what a bum for being the only member not to dress up!!! Janei'a was a witch, Cade was the cutest golfer, and Kaia was a pretty angle. My mom wore a fun witch hat and really cute light up pumpkin earrings.

Then last Sunday we had his birthday dinner with his family! His parents and Nick got him the water purifier he wanted. Kathy thought that was very boring, but Tyler loved it. Now he is set for back packing!!! Sarah got him a UT hat and a movie! He was very excited for a new hat and so was I. His old hat was getting kind of dirty!! Thanks Sarah :) He also got to eat cheesecake which is one of his favorites.

This morning I surprised him and woke myself up early to take him to Krispy Kreme and Starbucks for Hot chocolate! These are 2 of his favorites and it was very yummy! It was a big surprise because Tyler is always up by 6:15, but I am not a morning person so I sleep in as late as possible, but I woke up! Now Tyler is off to school and work. Tonight we are doing the trunk or treat for our ward. Then we will the presents I got him and eat another one of his favorites: chocolate cake!

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS A GREAT B-DAY FOR TYLER
I love you Tyler. HAPPY HALLOWEEN BIRTHDAY!!!!

TAGGED (by Janei'a)

6 Facts/Habits about yourself
Tag 6 others at the end and let them know!

My Six

1. I absolutely love to do anything crafty. Like scrap booking, painting, or decorating my house. I can never come up with the ideas because I am not very creative, but I am a great copier!!! And thanks to Tiffany Cusick I have made lots of cute things.

2. I don't care if my room is clean. It is so messy right now and pretty much always!!! I HATE making my bed and think it is a waste of time. I am never home anyway and when I do get home I just go straight to bed. So it is much nicer if it is all ready for me.

3. I love to bake and cook! I am so excited to be a stay at home wife so that I can cook every night. The only problem with baking is that I love to eat it and it shows.

4. I play tennis with 2 forehands. Most people have a backhand and forehand. Whenever I watch myself on video it is really weird. It is fun to play with people who don't know that about me because they get really confused.

5. I have a horrible habit of biting my nails. It just a habit that I can't stop.

6. I love to travel! What is better than getting away from stressful life and visiting somewhere you have never been. I was lucky to grow up in a family that we travel a lot and Tyler and I have been blessed to visit a few of my favorite places that he has never been! I go crazy if I haven't been somewhere in more than 6 months.

Sorry to do this but I tag Kelly, Tiffany S, Angie, Kim, Tamara, and Janelle! Good luck girls.

Tyler is incredible!!!

My husband is simply amazing. The past 2 weeks I have been SOOOOO crazy busy and hardly home at all. Without asking him he has picked up all the things I typically have time to do. INCLUDING:
  • Laundry (towels, whites, darks, and garments) and he even put them away!!!!)
  • Cleaning the kitchen
  • Doing all the dishes (including the hand dishes)
  • Cleaning the front room
The best part about this is I didn't even ask him and he never once complained. Now what else could I ask of a husband! Tyler I love you and you really are amazing!!!!

Nothing new!

Hello everyone. I just noticed that I haven't posted anything in a while and since I give my friends a hard time if I don't hear from them I thought I would post anyway.

This past week has been so crazy. I started off the week finding out that I have 2 bulging disks in my neck. I seriously laughed when I found out. One more thing to add to my stupid body :) I see the spine specialist on Oct 19, so I will find out more about that. I also created a DVD for Tyler's Grandpa Mason. It is his 75 birthday party this week. With such short notice I had to work quickly, but it turned out very good and I am excited to play it for him today! I am also running a tennis tournament next week with 120 kids in it. So I am just getting ready for that. I had to design t-shirts, make the draw, and order trophies!

There is my boring, busy life!!! :) I am sad to say that I did not see 1 premiere these past 2 weeks, But we finally got the Disney Channel and I LOVE HANNAH MONTANA!!!!! That is the cutest show.

A time for new things...

It was time for a new hair cut. I cut off 4 inches in the front and 5 in the back. I was so scared, but I think I actually like it! Hurray!

Tyler also insisted on me learning how to golf. I was a little bit hesitant at first, but I got into it. Plus look how pretty this course is. The sunset was incredible.
One of my favorite parts of golfing was driving the cart!
Look at my form. HAHA! I am still learning, but I did hit a few good balls.

Happiness

This week was testimony meeting in church and since I am way to scared to share my testimony in church I thought I would post here.

I love this church. I am so happy when I am doing what is right. Each morning this past week I have prayed that I could have a smile on my face throughout the day. This simple act has made me so much happier. I find myself doing little things for Tyler and not yelling at my tennis kids quite as much :) Through these simple services I have noticed that a smile goes a long way and the people around me are a lot happier.

The Lord wants us to be happy. He wants us to succeed and share our love with others. This past year I have learned so much patience. I have learned to accept the Lords will in the Lords time. But accepting His will is not enough, we need to learn to accept His will and be happy about it. Now I know this is not an easy thing to do, but it is possible. No matter what trial we are given we can learn to be happy. What greater happiness can we have than a knowledge that we have a Heavenly Father who love us and knows what we need.

As I have been learning this lesson this past year I have also gained a testimony of family. What a blessing we are given to have family to be there for us. When I feel weak I know I can always turn to my family. Tyler is especially strong when I feel weak. He amplifies Christ by always listening to me and just holding me when I cry. He always seems to know what I need. His love and understanding has helped me to gain such a better relationship with my Father in Heaven.

Trials are and always will be a part of my life. Some may be harder than others, but I know with faith I can endure anything. I am learning that while I am enduring that I need to enjoy all aspects of the ride and learn to be happy. Through faith and patience all things are possible!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Tyler and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary this past weekend. We had a blast. I took Tyler up to Stewart Falls and we had a picnic. Tyler had so much fun exploring up there. He loves to hike. After lunch we came back to the Sperry cabin in Sundance and fixed dinner. We had pork medallions wrapped in bacon, fruit and garlic rolls. It was delicious. For dessert we had brownie ice-cream pie. Then we opened our presents we got for each other. I got Tyler the clear play Dvd player (which he has not stopped talking about for about a month now) and he got me this book I have been begging for! We watched a movie that night and just relaxed. The next morning we woke up and went to Midway for a breakfast at this cute little restaurant and then we spent the rest of the day in Park City. We went to the Olympic park and went on all the rides there. Then we went and saw No Reservations. Can I say this is the cutest movie! After the movie Tyler was feeling a bit sick so we went back to the cabin and watched a few more movies. It was a nice relaxing weekend away!

Can you find Tyler?!?! He is such a monkey and climbs everything!

Our model Kylee

Look at all the cute curly hair! I love it!

Kelly hasn't shown off these pictures yet so I thought since I don't have any kids I might as well! Here is our little model Kylee showing up her mom's headbands and hair clips that she makes.
