Easter
I had a wonderful Easter weekend. Aspen got to do an Easter egg hunt at Tyler's parent's neighborhood. She loved crawling around to get an egg. The only problem was she was supposed to get 12 eggs and she was quite content to get only 1 egg. She wanted to shake it. If she only knew the good stuff was INSIDE :)
Than Sunday morning Aspen got to find her Easter basket from the Easter bunny.
I love little girls Easter dresses and I was super excited to find this one for Aspen.

After church my family all headed up to the cabin. Grandma and Grandpa hid Easter baskets for all the kids. We had a wonderful Sunday dinner and enjoyed playing Wii. I do have to say Tyler and I beat Rob and Mike in Mario Kart. If you know my family this was a big deal. They were not very happy.

The temple
As I mentioned in an earlier post I was able to go to the temple and do baptism through sealing for the same person. Tyler and I have been wanting to do this ever since we have been married and Tyler planned it for my birthday. Many of the experiences I had in the temple are to personal to share, but I do what to post about the feelings I had there. Most the time when Tyler and I plan to attend a session at the temple I go dragging my feet. For some reason every time we go I am not in the mood, am always extremely tired, or I just feel like I have tons to do. I don't know why I usually feel this way becuase EVERYTIME I go I LOVE it. I guess it is Satan trying to get me to stay home. Well this time things were very DIFFERENT. As soon as I found out we were going I was SUPER excited. And the whole day went by SO FAST.
For the first time we were able to do family names that Tyler's uncle had found. This was my first time doing a family name and I loved it. I prayed the whole day that this person would accept the blessings of the gospel. It was incredible to know that we were related and that I was able to do the work for this family member. I can only imagine the day that I get to meet her. What an overwhelming feeling that will be.
I wish I could portray the feelings I had throughout the day. The biggest feeling was peace. I was at peace with my life, peace with the trials I have been given and with the trials that will come. I felt true happiness. I felt a greater love for Tyler and Aspen, so thankful for the blessing they are to.
The greatest part about spending a whole day at the temple was that we got to participate in all parts of the priesthood. We got to see the gospel in all of its forms. Baptisms, confirmations, and inatiory prepared us spiritually to be ready to learn from the endowment and sealing.
I think that was the best part about the whole day. I felt in tune to everything that was going on. I was able to focus better becuase my mind had been prepared.
I am so thankful for the day spent at the temple. I am so thankful for a husband that knew that was something I would love to do and I am so glad we could share that experience together. The whole day took about 8 hours, that included a long lunch break, doing multiple baptisms, confirmations, inatories and sealings. We only did 1 endowment! I hope that Tyler and I can go back and do that about once a year! I pray that I can continue to go to the temple often. I love the Lord and am thankful for his sacrifice for me. I want to stand before Him one day and know that I did everything I could to help others return to Him.

What a week...
And I mean a GREAT week. Last week was my birthday and it was perfect! I really got to celebrate for a whole weekend. Tyler is an incredible husband and planned everything. We had the cabin so we did a lot of stuff up there. Tyler had to change his plans about 3 times becuase of weather and different things, but it turned out better than I could have imagined. We slept at the cabin every night and had lots of time to play and relax.

Thursday I got to open my present from Tyler, Aspen, and my brothers and their wives. A SHOPPING SPREE! It was such a surprise to me. After that I immediately got to go up to Park City to shop away. I haven't done that in so long and we had a blast up there.

Friday Tyler surprised me with a babysitter for Aspen and then off we went to the temple! But this was not an ordinary session, we did baptisms through sealing for the same person. This will have to be a different post becuase this was on the most spiritual experiences of my life and I highly recommend it to everyone. I am so thankful for a husband that knew I would love to spend my birthday that way. Than Friday night I got to open my presents from Tyler's family and then his parents came up to the cabin to hang out. It was so fun to hang out with them and something we need to do more often.
Saturday we came down for an easter egg hunt for Aspen. She crawled around to all the eggs and loved to shake them up! She even got a picture with the eater bunny! Saturday night was one of the nights Tyler had to change around a bunch. He wanted to throw me a surprise party, but forgot that it was Easter weekend and spring break. So everyone had family stuff or were out of town. Luckily our good friends Jamie and Andrew were able to come up! We had a blast playing wii and just talking around.
Sunday was Easter and after church my family all came up to the cabin! I got to open my presents from my parents and of course got spoiled as usually. I will post more about Easter later.
Thanks to all my friends and family for the best birthday ever. A special thanks to my amazing husband. He planned my entire weekend and kept it all a surprise. He cooked all the meals and changed all of Aspens diapers :) He is truly amazing and always makes me feel special.

Its about time...
Tyler and my mom worked so hard to finish Aspen's nursery for me! They did such a great job and it has actually been done for MONTHS now, but I am just getting to post it. Tyler painted everything in her room. He also stripped and stain her crib, changing station, and glider! To say the least he did an incredible job. My incredible mom also made all the bedding! And I mean all, quilt, bumper, basket liners, drapes, changing station compartment, and glider cover!!! I have the best family. Here are some before and after pictures. I still need to put a few things on the wall, but that will happen as our budget allows :)
