Lagoon

I grew up going to amusements parks and still love them to this day! Allen's work gave them some tickets to Lagoon and so they invited us to come with them! Aspen is following suite like her parents and went on every ride they let her. She is not scared of anything. She probably would have gone on every ride if there wasn't any height restrictions. Kathy's favorite ride is the log ride and it really is the only one she doesn't get sick on so we went on that ride a lot. After that Kathy took the kids so the rest of us could go on the fun rides and course we kept meeting up to say hi! I am so thankful I get to do so many fun things with my family!
Tyler and Allen love cars and decided to do the race cars up there. I haven't seen smiles that big in a long time. And I must admit Tyler looked hot in that car!

Lake Fun

I love water so inevitably I love the Lake! When David and Racheal, Tyler's aunt and uncle invited us to go down to Lake Powell we couldn't resist! Nick is working down there right now and we really wanted to go and see him so the trip worked out perfect. It ended up being Kathy, Grandma Inkley, Rachael, David, Mitchel, Annie, their baby Rocky and our family. The first 2 nights we stayed in a tent down by the lake. It was so hot and the kids did not sleep very great. So the 3rd night we went and slept in Nick's trailer which had air conditioning! The first morning we woke up bright and early and were on the Lake the whole day! We would drive the boat and than stop and swim and than drive the boat some more. We stopped off at Rainbow Bridge and took a little hike. I even went cliff jumping. I am scared of heights and it took my quite awhile to actually make myself jump. I am not scared of the falling part, but actually making myself jump is the hard part. But once I jump I love it. This is only my 2nd time ever cliff jumping. It was sure hot there, but with the wind from the boat and the jumping in the water we were sure refreshed! The 2nd day we took the boat out in the morning and than David and Rachael needed to head back home so we found a place on the beach to play the rest of the day. Than on Sunday we went to church and than headed back home. Lake Powell is one of my favorite places on earth and it was as beautiful as a I remembered. I hope we can go back every year.
In August Aspen went with Grandpa and Grandma Mason to bear lake for a few days. It was during the girls tennis try-outs so we couldn't go, but Aspen had a blast! Of course I missed her like crazy, but I was busy with try-outs so it was perfect timing. Danny was still nursing so I kept him home with us. Aspen loves water and she loves being around family! She even got to go tubing for the first time ever.
