Fall Fun

I think I am almost caught up on blogging. Yipee! I lost my camera so I don't have any pictures from Sept, but luckily I didn't lose very many pictures and on the upside I got a new camera!!! I got the panasonic lumix dmc-fz40. Its a hybird between a nice slr and a point and shoot and I love it. The zoom on the camera is amazing and I love the hd video camera on it. But back to my fun fall!

We started off fall going to Corn Bellys with the Spencers and it was so much fun. It was really cold that night, but that didn't stop us from having fun. We did everything there was to do there and than we did our favorites again and again. I think Aspen's favorite thing was the big bouncy ball. She did not want to leave that. Here are a bunch of pictures from that night.
Than we made yummy Halloween cookies that we shared with some family and lets be honest we ate lots of them to! I was so happy Sarah could join in the fun with us.Kids make Halloween so much more fun. Aspen and Danny went to 2 trunk or treats plus got to go trick or treating. I am glad we got to go to 2 trunk or treats before Halloween because of course it was raining on Saturday. Aspen was Padme and Danny was Yoda from Star Wars. For one of the trunk of treats I kind of dressed up as Leia.
On Saturday Tyler's parents came over to see the kids and go trick-or-treating with them. Rain and all we still went out around our neighborhood to a few houses. Than Aspen said she was to cold and didn't want anymore candy so we went inside. In all honesty Aspen forgot all about her candy the next day! She rarely eats candy, but if she could pick she would eat a sucker.
Than it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's Sperrys house. It was so much fun to get all the kids together, and even more fun trying to get a good group picture of them :) Cade was Anakin, Kylee was ballerina, Kaia was wonder women and Michael was a dragon. So cute.

Timpview Girls Tennis

Tennis has been such a big part of my life. During High School I learned a lot of my life lessons from tennis. I learned how to; manage time, win and lose, work hard, be a part of a team, set goals, work towards that goal and probably a lot more that I cannot think of right now. So after competitive tennis stopped for me I taught tennis at Golds. I loved teaching and I loved being around tennis. When I had had Aspen I knew I wanted to stop working and be at home with her, but I didn't want to leave the tennis world all together. Timpview High School had been asking me for years to coach their girls team, but it just never worked out before. So this time when they asked I thought about it for a long time. Finally everything just fell into place for me to take the coaching position. Last year was my first year coaching and I loved it. The girls were amazing and it was great to be a part of their lives. This year was even better. The hardest part was definitely try-outs. It was so hard to have to cut a few girls that were on last years team and other girls I had been close to. But once try-outs were over the year was great. I was thankful I was not pregnant and sick this season and I had even more energy to devote to the girls. These girls work so hard and are constantly laughing. I felt really old when during a practice there was an awkward silence and I said, "well big gulps huh". The girls looked at me like where did you get that from. Seriously who doesn't know dumb and dumber! I also learned that "classic" and "epic" are the new cool words to say.

The girls had an excellent season and built from last year. Last year it was most the girls first season with the team and they have worked so hard to get better. It showed early in the season and they continued to impress me by getting better and better. The JV team took 1st in region not ever losing a team match all season. Varsity improved a ton and took second as a team in region. But more importantly the girls came together and worked like a team. We sure had fun along the way. I am so thankful I get to coach these amazing girls that teach me something new each day. I am thankful I still get to be around tennis 12 weeks out of the year and that I still get to be a full-time mom and stay home with my kids. I am also thankful to all the babysitters that helped me out all season, especially Kathy, Janei'a and Kelly. I am so thankful to Tyler and Holly who both helped out with coaching. We couldn't have had such a successful year without the help of everyone. You can tell by these pictures what a fun team I have and I can't wait for next season to start!

July Holidays

4th of July is truly one of my favorite holidays! It is just a stress free fun day that I get to spend with my family. I love that it fell on a Sunday this year becuase we were able to party all weekend. Saturday we started off with a yummy breakfast at my parents house. Than we went and played tennis with the kids. We gave the kids a mini tennis lesson first and than went off to play on the playground with Grandma and Grandpa while we played some mixed doubles. I miss playing tennis so much!Than we went back to my parents and went swimming. This was Danny's first time in the pool. After the initial shock of getting wet he actually really liked it. Looks like we have another water baby :)That night we went over to the Mason's and enjoyed dinner and fireworks!Sunday we got to celebrate Robs birthday and we also did more fireworks that night. Than on Monday we took the kids to the parade and the carnival. I must admit I really hate carnivals, but since everyone else was going I thought I would go. Yep its true I still hate carnivals and Aspen was to young to really enjoy it anyway. It was long, hot and she couldn't really see anything. But the carnival was awesome and there were so many fun things for the kids to do! All and all 4th of July was just as fun as I remember it being in the past!July 24th was a lot of fun to! I am so glad we get to do fireworks twice in Utah. We spent the day with the Masons. We had a yummy bbq dinner and than played games. Than we lite fireworks in the front yard! We had a blast and Aspen of course loved the fireworks, from a distance :)
