Argh Matee!

I am not sure words can describe Pirates Cove. Actually I don't even think pictures can describe how amazing this resort is, but I will post lots anyway! Tyler and I got to take the kids to this house/resort for a quick 3 day getaway in November. This place is in Boulder City, right outside of Las Vegas. My brother Rob knows the owner of this amazing place and was lucky enough to rent it out at cost! Which is pretty amazing since it normally goes for 10,000 a NIGHT and they only rent it out to big corporations or friends and family. Yes 1 guy owns this entire resort. There are 5 different houses, 3 pools, 2 slides, 3 hot tubs and and lots of fun to be had! Each house is completely self sufficient with its own kitchen and washer and dryer and everything you need! Before I get to what we did I have to post pictures of the RESORT! I took over 300 pictures so of course I only posted enough so you can get a glimpse of this place.

Now to what we did! Well we didn't have to leave this place even once!!! We pretty much did everything at the pool. Well when we first got there we took a tour. I am pretty sure we still haven't seen every room becuase this place was huge! Than after our tour we headed to the pool and pretty much didn't leave it unless we were eating or sleeping. 3 days of swimming swimming and more swimming. This was heaven to our family!

There was lots of jumping at Pirates Cove. Tyler was first jumping off a 53 foot mass! Than Aspen jumped off a 10 foot waterfall without even thinking twice. Than the wuss of the family, me, took 20 minutes to jump off the first mass, which was probably 15 feet. Yes I was scared to death and I have never jumped off anything that high in my life. But I DID IT!!! I was so proud of myself. Tyler and Aspen had many jumps, but I only did it once :)

We also had a blast going down the slides! Aspen loved both the big slide and the little slide, but the little slide was by far her favorite. By the end of the trip she would walk up there all be herself and ride down it all by herself. When the kids went to sleep Tyler and I went back swimming with some friends. We did lots of trains down the big slide and got some pretty bad whiplash. But it was so worth it. Tyler and a friend also tried surfing down the slide! The first night we were surprised when everyone in our group went to bed early so Tyler and I went up and relaxed in the hot tub.

If you can't tell this was the perfect trip! I wish I could even describe how beautiful and amazing this place is, but I think you just have to experience it. A friend of ours had just recently been to Disneyland and they brought there kids to pirates cove, when they were leaving their kids said, "this place is better than Disneyland"! I hope that explains it and if you ever get a chance to go TAKE IT!
