Part 2 of the Cruise: Cabo

Cabo was our first port on the cruise. Wow is it beautiful! The island is very clean and the water is so warm. It was my second favorite port that we did on the cruise. My favorite was Puerto Vallarta, but I will have to post about that later.

The port in Cabo is very shallow so we had to tender and take another boat onto the shore. We didn't have a plan once we got to the shore so we spend a little to much time deciding what to do. We finally decided to split up as a family. I went with my parents and Rob, Janei'a, Mike and Kel went a different way. My parents and I took an open boat taxi over to the other side of Cabo. We had lunch at this little resturant right on the sand of the beach. A mexican band came right over to us and asked us what song we would like them to sing. We picked a song and loved listening to the music. Tyler and I got up and danced. It was so much fun. Once the song was over the guys stood their akwardly. We realized they were waiting for a tip so my dad gave them $3. They kept looking at us and finally one of them said the songs cost $5. Haha. That would never fly in America. We thought they were part of the resturant just going around to table singing. We did not know that it was an extra charge for the song. Anyway, my dad didn't have any more cash they had to take the $5!
After lunch we negotiated a great price on some wave runners! This was my favorite part of the trip. Tyler and I took turns driving the wave runners. This was the best way to see all the scenry of Cabo. We were able to see the Arch of Cabo, Lovers Beach, and all the resort parts of Cabo. I have been on wave runners before, but I must admit going on them in the ocean is WAY BETTER. It helped that it was a windy day and the waves were huge. We had a blast. Then it was time to do some bartering. I soon became the bartering queen. I love to barter. It is so much fun to see the price of something you want come down to something you can afford. On Cabo we got Tyler a sweet cowboy hat and Aspen a cute little mexician dress for such a great price. The great part about shopping was that we didn't have to leave the beach. The people come to you :)
