I love holidays and they excuse they give me to do something extra special. About a week before Easter Kathy and Allen had a little Easter egg hunt for the kids in her backyard. Aspen and Danny loved being outside and thought it was so cool to keep collecting things. Aspen had to help Danny out a little bit because he was happy just shaking his 1 egg. And yes in this picture Aspen still fits in her Easter dress from last year!
This year Aspen and Danny went to our neighbored Easter Egg hunt. Sadly we got there 5 minutes late and it had already started! Seriously I know I shouldn't have been late, but I was so shocked it started right on time. So by the time we got there all the eggs were gone. I excepted a little crying when we told Aspen that the eggs were all gone, but she just went and played on the playground instead. She is so sweet. Luckily they found out that some kids didn't get any eggs so they filled some more and Aspen ended up getting a few. Some of the older kids kept pushing her to get more eggs and Aspen is to nice to say anything so I finally had to grab a few eggs and take her to a secluded area. But it all worked out and Aspen and Danny were both excited to get a few eggs! Aspen was also really excited to get her this butterfly on her face. But they were not very excited to see the Easter Bunny!
We also decorated some Easter eggs this year! Aspen thought it was so much fun!
Than Easter morning the kids woke up to find out that the Easter Bunny had come. He left easter eggs all downstairs and he even hid both Danny and Aspen an Easter basket. Aspen helped Danny find his basket first and than she was off to find her basket! They both thought it was so much fun! Than it was time to get ready for church. I had put Aspens hair in curlers the night before and luckily she kept them in all night. As soon as we did her hair and put her dress on she told me "wow I look like Mulan, Little Mermaid and Belle and all the pretty princess" She was so excited to be dressed up for easter Sunday! We even got a matching tie for Danny man and he sure looked like a prince.

After church we headed over to my parents house for a yummy Easter dinner! They also had prepared a little easter egg hunt for the kids and some more Easter stuff. They all got a little candy as well as a great church book and an Easter cup with a really cool straw. We even got some great pics of the all the grandkids outside! My mom has them on her camera so as soon as I get those I will post them!
Most importantly we remembered the Savior and his resurection! Aspen even learned how to say resurection and was telling everyone all day that Easter was about Jesus. So proud of her and her knowledge for such a young girl. I am so thankful for the Saviors loving Atonement. I am sure not perfect, but through him I can gain repentance and become better on a daily basis. I love the Lord and would be no where without him. I hope everyone else was able to remember the Savior on this great Easter Sunday!
