Danny was a great sport everyday. He was constantly waving to Aspen and giving her encourgement. He loved playing with her goggles. I have a feeling when Danny gets lessons next year he will not be quite as easy as Aspen was. But he sure is cute.

My little swimmer
Aspen has always enjoyed swimming. From a young age she could swim and hold her breath from a long time. Before we did swim lessons I taught Aspen as much as I could, but I knew she needed someone else to take her to the next level. Aspen is pretty good with strangers and loves swimming so I was shocked when she cried on her first swim lesson.
But Pam is amazing and calmed her down quickily. The first day was all about Aspen trusting Pam and by the end of the lesson Aspen was on her way to learning how to float.
Aspen's swim lessons were 10 minutes a day, 4 days a week for 3 weeks. By the end of the first week Aspen was successfully floating on her back all by herself. Pam kept telling me how advanced Aspen was and how quick of a learner she was. Aspen was a great listener and did everything Pam told her to.
By the end of the second week Aspen could go the whole length of the pool all by herself switching off between swimming and floating. It was seriously amazing to me to watch.
Pam's swim lessons are all about survivial. I am in the pool so much that I really wanted a little more security knowing that if something happened and Aspen fell in or jumped in when I was not watching that she would be okay at least for a little bit. Well Pam has taught her those skills. She praticed with Aspen different ways of falling in and how to always get back to the side.
She even had Aspen do 1 whole lesson with her clothes on so she knows what it will feel like if she falls in.
She also had Aspen practice floating well she pushed waves of water onto Aspen. When the 3rd week was over Aspen was really sad. She told me she loved Miss Pam and even gave her a big hug when we left.
In just 3 weeks Aspen can now swim all by herself. Her favorite things were jumping off the diving board and going down the big slide!

Danny was a great sport everyday. He was constantly waving to Aspen and giving her encourgement. He loved playing with her goggles. I have a feeling when Danny gets lessons next year he will not be quite as easy as Aspen was. But he sure is cute.
