Our Joyous Day

Tyler and I couldn't sleep at all on Christmas Eve. We were to excited to see what Santa had brought the kids. But like they always do they slept in until 8am! We were lucky enough to have Tylers parents, Sarah and my parents over that morning so they could enjoy the kids. Of course Santa spoiled the kids rotten! Aspen didn't quite know what to do with all the presents! We let the kids play with their Santa toys for quite a while. Danny got so excited for his rocking car!

One of Aspens favorite stocking stuffers was her princess lip gloss! She had us all laughing when she couldn't quite find her lips!
After we enjoyed everything from Santa we went on to opening presents from each other. Man if I thought Santa spoiled the kids, Tyler sure spoiled me! Here are a few more pictures of the rest of our perfect Christmas morning
Than we got ready and headed over to my parents house for a delicious breakfast of stuffed french toast! Its tradition to have Tyler make the stuffed french toast.
I guess Danny was hungry because he stood up in his chair to eat the food off Michaels high chair.
After breakfast we got to enjoy opening more presents. Its so much fun to see all the thought put into every present.
The biggest present we got was a trip to San Diego from my parents!!! My mom embroidered on bags for each one of us so we had something to take to the beach. I have to post pictures of this amazing trip another post!
After a fun afternoon at my parents it was time to head up to the Masons for the night. We had a scrumptious sit down dinner and than it was off to open yet some more presents! Among Aspens favorite was her new Bitty Baby that she would not put down and so many other toys! Nick accidently told me what he got me before I even opened it, but I still loved my new movie, New Moon.
I feel so blessed to have so much family so close and to have so many people think of us during this holiday season. I loved every minute of this season. It just wouldn't be Christmas without thinking of others, shopping the sales, baking galore, and spending lots of time with family.
Most importantly it just wouldn't have been Christmas without Christ and his mother. I am so thankful to a righteous women, Mary for raising Christ. To be brave enough to be a virgin and bear God's Son. What courage it must have taken for to happily bear that burden. And what blessings she must have received for bearing the Son of God. I am so thankful for the knowledge of Christ and I hope during the busy season and throughout the year we can always remember that it is truly about Him.
