A big thanks!

I am so lucky to have the best friends and family. Thanks to all those who have stopped by, brought meals or called to see how I was doing. Thanks to my in-laws for helping me take care of Aspen when I was in the hospital and bringing her down to see me!
Also I want to send a special thanks to my mom. She is the most incredible person I know. She has been the best example of a mother. My only hope is that I can be half as good as a mom as she has been to me. I am the only girl in our family and that has brought me extra close to my mom. She truly is one of my best friends and always has been. She has always been there for me. She has seen me at my worst and loves me no matter what. She is the best example of patience and love.

As soon as I found out I was having a girl I convinced my mom to sew all the nursery items! We went to the store and picked out the fabric. She has spent many hours on everything. She is so busy and it means the world to me that she would take out time to sew all this stuff. She has done a crib skirt and bumper, quilt, basket liners, diaper organizer, glider cushions, and the curtain. And can I tell you it looks amazing. Its not all done, but here is a sneak peak of what it looks like. I will post more pictures when I have the nursery all done!!!

My mom also was there for me the whole first week of Aspen being born! She was the first one to the hospital to see my sweet little angle. She was at our house when we brought her home. She was so excited to have another grandchild and spend lots of time helping me. Well the first week didn't go as planned and my mom was so flexible. My mom owns her own business and the girl she hired to help up front had a family emergency and had to leave out of town for her grandmothers funeral. So instead of having the whole week off she had to work. So she would help me all morning. She would clean my house, help with Aspen and cook dinner. Then she would have to go into work for a bit. As soon as she got back she would be helping me again. The night I got really sick she got up with Aspen to feed her. She literally went on no sleep the whole week she was with me.

My mom is truly the most sincere and loving person I have ever met. I am a better person for knowing her and I could never thank her enough for all that she does. I love you mom!!!!

Tiff, everything looks just darling - and what a sweet tribute to your Mom! We all know what a hard worker she is and can't imagine how she does it all and is still so "together", so kudos to her - and congratulations to you and Tyler again on the birth of that sweet baby Aspen! Can't wait to meet her! Glad you are feeling better!
love, Arlene & Grant
