Well I am finally seeing a specialist for my neck and back. We are good family friends with doctor Lynn Gaufin who is a known top neuron surgeon. He was so nice to get me in within a week, especially since they are booked out for 3 months. I have seen him twice now and can I tell what a difference it makes to see the specialist. He explained everything to me better than anyone else ever has. I actually have 4 different problems. I have 2 bulging disks in my neck, a pinced nerve in the front of my neck, 3 degerative disks and a muscle tear in my lower back, and my new problem is a bone spur in my upper back. Now all of these problems are minor, but add them all together and that is why I am in so much pain. The good news from the doctor is that I do not need surgery and he doesn't think I ever will. I was glad to hear that becuase a few doctors have told me that I need, but that they wont do it on my yet becuase I am so young. After this past summer and all my surgeries I am going to try and avoid those for awhile.
Since I have already tried physical therapy we decided to take the next step. I am going to see a pain management specialist. Now doesn't that sound scary. I don't even know what that really is, so if anyone else knows please describe. I also need to maintain a healthy active life (like swimming or biking) and do 30 mins of excersies each morning and night. I guess that is a good thing becuase it will help me stay healthy. It is nice to know what is wrong with my body and be working on a solution for it.

That sucks. I am sorry to hear about all the back troubles. On a more positive side, I wish a doctor would prescribe exercise like that for me, because then I might actually exercise. Good luck, with the pain management specialist. I am pretty sure he specializes in helping you manage your pain , but that is just a guess :).
I am happy you were able to get in so fast...nice to have a few strings pulled now and then. Best of luck with the exercises...I need to get back on track...think I'll think of you doing them and that will help me be motivated! We love you!
Glad that you are finally getting help! I hope you continue to feel better!
Tiff I'm sorry that you are having to go through all of this!! I hope that you can get it all figured out soon!!
Hey wow I just had to catch up on all your posts- I haven't been blogging in a while. I'm sorry about all your stuff but at least there are solutions now! I loved the mystery prints story and I can't beleive the Costco story. I was with your mom when you called her but didn't hear the whole story! I always walk away or turn away from my cart and sometimes when my kids are in it (just for a sec) but I need to be more careful!
Tiff I'm not sure where Andrew and I will be spending Christmas. If Andrew gets work off then we are planning on heading up to Northern California to spend Christmas w/ two of his sisters and their families. But if not then we'll be spending Christmas with my family. We won't know until last minute. How are you doing? What are your CHristmas plans?
