The cruise- Ship addition

My parents took us on an Eastern Carribean cruise this year for our Christmas present.  We just needed to get our flight and the rest was taken care of.  This was such a nice break to get away from everything.  I love my kids more than anything, but its so nice to get away and refresh.  Especially since their our 9 grandkids now it gets kind of hard to have adult time with my family!

We went on the Allure of the Seas on Royal Carribean.  This is their largest ship to date and it was simply amazing!  It had 2 rock walls, ice rink, miniature golf, 4 different pools, a surf and boggy board simulator  zip line and endless amount of activities and fun things to do!  Here are a few of the ship stats.

And we did find out that it cost 1.2 billion to make this ship!  So you can guess that we were never bored.  We saw the ice show, the water show, a few movies, played minute to win it and loved the all famous adult game show.  We opted out of seeing Chicago because we heard it dropped the F bomb and it wasn't exactly very family friendly.  I was okay with that because I didn't really want to see it anyway.  I really loved the water show!  They were so talented.  We did go dancing a few nights, well I went dancing one night and Janei'a and Kelly went more nights.  They even got hit on  by some guys.  Wink wink.   Of course we enjoyed 24 hours of food!  There were so many options for places to eat and we tried them all!  I was also amazed at their dairy free options and healthy options.  They had a vegetarian menu even.  Our waiter seriously took care of me. Because of my allergy I had to order my meal the night before, but they did make me a yummy dessert every night.  Since I found out about my dairy allergy I haven't been able to eat a dessert unless I make it so that was a real treat!  Prabu was our waiter and he truly became a friend to us.  I really do miss him!  I can't believe these workers leave their family for 6 months at a time. Since this ship is so large we only got towel animals on our beds every other night, but we still got excited to see them.  I have been surfing in the ocean before, but never on a simulator.  It was so hard.  I didn't trust myself very much and as soon as the guy let go of me I pretty much feel.  But it was still fun.  I really liked the buggy boarding though.  The lines were so long on the surf simulator that we only did it once.  The zip line was kind of weak, but I'm still glad we did it.  The initial drop of it was kind of scary.  The miniature golf was so much fun and of course Tyler and I won!  We placed bets that the winners got to bury the losers in the sand, but somehow the losers didn't own up to that bet.  Oh well next time we need to think of a better bet!  On this ship we did 2 formal nights.  Its always fun to get all dressed up and look hot for Tyler!  You will notice some of our pictures were taken in the central park!  They have a full atrium that mimicked central park and it was beautiful   Our room was actually on that floor so we usually walked through it anytime we went anywhere.  It was nice to have a ship that was so open!  None of us got sea sick because of this and you honestly forgot you were on a ship at times.  Cruise Ship2 Cruise Ship Cruise Ship1 Pictures from Janei'as camera2 Pictures from Janei'as camera Pictures from Janei'as camera1 Formal Night1 Formal Night P1090350P1090508P1090546
