My heart goes out to the Cliffords!!!

Amanda Marie Clifford
(June 30, 1988 - November 11, 2008)



Amanda Marie Clifford, 20, of Lindon passed away Tuesday morning at Utah Valley Hospital under the watchful and loving eyes of her family and friends. Born in Walnut Creek, California, Amanda lived most of her life in Utah. She was a Junior at Utah Valley University where she excelled in music as a fellowship recipient. As a Provo High School graduate she enthusiastically participated in the Symphonic Band and the Marching Band. She was an avid reader and had a deep love of music and aspired to become a music teacher and conductor. Amanda was preparing to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in June of next year. Amanda was a strong proponent of the organ donor program and convinced others to elect for participation. The legacy of her conviction will result is six other individuals having a chance at life due to her sacrifice. Dear, sweet Amanda is survived by her parents, Paul and Aly Clifford of Lindon and her siblings Ryan and Sarah; her soul mate Benjamin Parry; Great Grandmother Viola Brien; Grandparents Vic and Gayle Deauvono and James and Paula Clifford; Aunts and Uncles Ned and Kimberly Warner, Tim and Darcy Keady, Michael and Teresa Harris, George and Stephanie Chingas; fifteen cousins and many extended family members and friends. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. and funeral services will commence at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the 1100 East 100 North, Lindon Utah Stake Center, Lindon, Utah. Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery.

Is she a friend of yours? How did she pass away? It seems like so many young people are having health problems, etc. I'm sorry for the loss.

That is so hard! so young! how did she pass away, I'm always very curious when they are so young like that. If you knew her too- my heart goes you to you too!

Amanda died in a car crash Tuesday. She got cut off by someone and collided with a semi! I teach her whole family tennis. They are some of favorites to teach and this has hit the tennis community pretty hard!

I'm so sorry Tiff. Rick told me about this crash--it was on his way to work I think. I had no idea anyone died though.
