The next few day was kind of hard with Aspen being under the lamp. I could get her out for 30 mins at a time to feed her. Aspen was having a hard time feeding. We quickly realized that I didn't have enough for her to eat and the doctor suggested we put her on formula and that I pump to try and get my milk in. But other than that I was still feeling pretty good. I was happy that recovery was going well. I hoped for a little to much. Tuesday I started feeling a little sick. By Tuesday night I could hardly breathe. I got up at 2am and asked my mom to feed Aspen. I just was not feeling good. But I didn't want to go into the ER so I waited until 8am and went into Insta Care. They took some blood tests and did a chest x-ray. The doctor immeditaley came in and said I need to go to Utah Vally Hospital for more tests. I had a very abnormal chest x-ray and needed to get more tests. He thought I either had a blood clot or phenomena.
So we rushed to the ER. They did a cat scan and took a bunch a blood. When the C-Scan results came back they ruled out both a blood clot and phenomena. Both the did find out that I had a bunch of fluid in my lungs. The specialist came into to tell what the 3 things they thought it could be. The worst possibility was that I had a heart diease and wouldn't be able to have any more kids. The middle possibility was that I had a problem with my lungs and the best option was that I had a low blood count and fluid drained into my lungs.
So they had to do more tests. I had an EKG, Echo on my heart, and more blood tests. Then they put me on a water pill to get all the liquid out of my body. They admitted me to the cardio floor and told me to plan on staying the night. In my heart I knew I would be okay. They hardest part was that I couldn't have Aspen staying at the hospital. So my mother in law took her home for the night. My baby was only 5 days old and I couldn't even be with her. It was so hard.
Later that night a nurse came into to tell us that the doctor had left and we wouldn't know the results until the next morning. I freaked out. It had already been about 8 hours since they told us our three options and I was so nervous about not being able to ever have kids again. Luckily the nurse came back in about an hour later to tell me that the doctor had called and said it was definitely not the heart disease. My heart was really healthy. This was the best news of the day!
The next morning the doctor came back in with the rest of the results. He told me that I had developed pre-cleamsia. That would explain my high blood pressure. He also said that since my blood levels were so low that my body couldn't move all the fluid from the pre-cleamsia to my legs and feet and it had drained into my lungs. He also said that I would have to have a blood transfusion. The good news is that I had no permanent damage and that I would be able to go home that night (Thursday night).
So I got back yesterday. After draining the fluid from my lungs and the blood transfusion I started feeling a lot better. Now I am home and it feels great to finally be able to hold my daughter. I am so excited for the days to come. She is such a sweatheart and I just want to hold her all the time. I LOVE BEING A MOM. IT IS THE GREATEST THING EVER!!!! I will post more pictures and keep you all updated. Thanks for all your prayers!

Wow, wow, wow. Talk about an adventure. I am glad everything is ok now. Aspen is beautiful. Enjoy your time with her. I know you have been waiting a long time! Congrats!
Oh, I know how hard it is to be seperated. Dallin was 5 days old and had to be admitted to Children's Hospital for a few days. It was horrible!! Glad you are doing better now. :)
